Hi there— I’m Rachel, a reader and reviewer with a love for gloomy but magical stories. I started out reviewing on YouTube in 2019 out of a need to discuss books with other adults after making Being A Mom my whole personality for several years. Content creation on YouTube became my full-time job in 2021, and it’s the best job I’ve ever had.
I'm just as passionate about crying about books I love as I am about yelling over books I despise. I am so grateful I get to do this and help others find books that are right for them, as well as to help people have something to listen to while they create art themselves.

I used to do beta reads regularly, but I stopped taking them on due to time constraints. If I ever open up commissions again, I’ll post about it on my KOFI.

I can’t promise that I can get to every book. I try to make time for as many as I possibly can. I don’t take on many ARC reads because I worry I won’t get them finished before publication.

Turning this into a job requires a lot of time working for free, and a whole lot of luck. Focus on making the content you love to make, as often as you can. Make content that is unique to you, and build your community. If you’re interested in making sponsored content, reach out to brands to see if they will work with you rather than only waiting for them to come to you.
